Job Title: Telecommunication Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Line Technician to join our team at GN Systems Inc.

Job Summary:

The Telecommunication Line Technician will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, and climbing and working aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
  • Splice, join and connect wires
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience an asset
  • Working at heights training
  • Criminal record check
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel
Work Environment:

The Telecommunication Line Technician will work outdoors and at heights, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physically demanding tasks.
