Job Title: Instructor - Vocational School

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructor to join our team at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our vocational school program.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Supervise teaching assistants and ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality support to students.
  • Train students in practical shop work sessions and provide feedback on their progress.
  • Develop and prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory studies.
  • Administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress and provide feedback.
  • Prepare reports on student progress and program evaluation.
  • Participate in faculty committees to discuss matters such as budgets, curriculum revision, staffing, and course requirements.
  • Conduct course and program evaluation or review to ensure high-quality education.
  • Deliver lectures and presentations to students and provide opportunities for discussion and feedback.
  • Lead discussion groups and seminars to facilitate learning and critical thinking.
  • Provide assistance to students with special needs and ensure they have equal access to education.
  • Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and laboratory, shop, and field studies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
