About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Government of Canada - Western. The Planning Vice President will oversee strategic planning, policy development, and program implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead the organization in developing and implementing organizational policies and programs, allocating resources to support these initiatives.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Program Management: Oversee the establishment and management of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring effective coordination of work across regions, divisions, or departments.
  • Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate and approve promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
  • Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, selecting middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, and delegating necessary authority.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to travel internationally, participating in high-level meetings and collaborations.
