About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Area Consultant to join our team at LexisNexis Canada Inc. Company. As a key member of our corporate team, you will be responsible for growing new and existing client relationships by identifying new business opportunities and promoting the use of our products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct users and decision makers in key accounts to increase awareness and preference of LexisNexis content, products, and services.
  • Partner with Account Managers and Account Executives to create solutions to overcome customer challenges and effectively position them to close significant opportunities.
  • Identify and target revenue and growth opportunities within assigned markets and/or accounts.
  • Demonstrate deep product, content, and practice area knowledge to identify new use cases and expand upon existing use cases pertaining to the corporate legal market.
  • Prepare and deliver specialized customer presentations that communicate our value proposition and competitive differentiators to create new active users.
  • Conduct competitive research, analysis of findings, and share information with segment, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Attend key industry events to further establish key client relationships in the industry with new and existing clients.
  • Work closely with the Sales Enablement team to build and deploy product and legal issue training to support and educate the sales team.
  • Create a range of content, including whitepapers, promotional content, webinars, etc.
Requirements
  • LLB and/or JD required, member of a Law Society in good standing preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a lawyer, in-house counsel, or government lawyer experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate broad product, content, or practice area knowledge and act as an internal resource for sales, marketing, and segment teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, accomplishing mutual team goals.
  • Sales, client management, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/French an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in-office 1 day per week (hybrid).
