About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Sales Associate to join our team at Calgary Co-op. As a key member of our deli team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and efficient operation, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a clean and organized deli area, restocking shelves, and facing products in an efficient manner.
  • Handle merchandise, ensuring quality, minimizing damages, and markdowns, and providing substitutions and price integrity.
  • Perform general clean-up duties, including cleaning spills and display fixtures, and maintaining a neat and organized department.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Previous retail or related experience.
  • Must be fluent in English (CLBA-Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deli product knowledge and experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
