Job Title: Welder

Meridian Marine Industries Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure that welds meet standards and specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines, soldering machines, and spot welding machines
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in cold or hot environments
Work Environment:

The Welder will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with a focus on marine repair and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
