Job Title: Senior Marine Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join our team at W.F. Baird & Associates Coastal Engineers Ltd. (Baird). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and assisting with routine and complex port, offshore, marine, and waterfront structural engineering projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project delivery from conception through completion
  • Manage design, engineering, preparation of plans and specifications, and construction oversight and administration
  • Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior engineers and scientists
  • Participate in proposal preparation and interviews, as necessary
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the structural engineering of marine infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Flexible work style, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, meet challenging deadlines, and client needs
  • Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams (internal and external) under tight deadlines and changing scope
Nice to Have Qualifications:
  • Experience with geotechnical, arctic, offshore, or construction engineering, including EnSoft software products
  • M.Sc. or M.Eng.
  • Broad interest in multiple areas of marine and coastal engineering
