Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team at METRO XPRESS INC. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including journal entries and ledgers.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
