About the Role

Aon is seeking an experienced Commercial Risk Leader to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with diverse global teams to deliver innovative services to our largest complex clients.
  • Drive performance excellence through leadership and application of our 3x3 plan, which includes a core focus on Aon Client Leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate sales and service programs against national standards and goals, in support of regional business targets.
  • Direct focused client service, retention, and development of new clients in the region based on pre-agreed financial goals and in support of branch business plan.
  • Promote, manage, and drive accountability for the sales "pipeline" to increase the percentage of sales closed; including direct prospects and interdependent sales team initiatives within the region;
  • Shared accountability for branch performance results; work with Account Managers to identify, spearhead, and leverage new market and client service opportunities within the local community, determine causes for underperformance, and identify necessary corrective action where objectives are not being met;
  • Visibly represent Aon within the local community and through participation of professional, business, and community associations. Establish targeted business networking strategies and use of these networks and platforms to drive new business for the region;
  • Shared accountability for performance development, cross-training, and succession planning initiatives in support of the attraction, retention, and motivation of key branch talent.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in commercial insurance brokerage with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a regional/specialty/branch leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership presence in the risk community and within the market
  • Post-Secondary degree in a business-related program and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • Professional designations such as CIP, FCIP, and CRM is preferable, or working towards similar coupled with QC Insurance license
  • Bilingualism (French – English)
