Job Title: Construction Painters Foreman/Woman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Painters Foreman/Woman to join our team at Mountainside Painting Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, overseeing apprenticeship training, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Coordinate and schedule activities
  • Oversee apprenticeship training
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Set up machines and equipment
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Leading/instructing individuals
  • Supervise other workers
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the trade
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Ability to work under pressure and physically demanding work environment
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors, at heights, in dusty and odorous environments, and in confined spaces.
