Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Coordinator to join our team at Alexandra Steiner.

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services in a home-based setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work independently.

This is a temporary position with a 40-hour workweek. The rate of pay for this role is estimated to be around $18-$22 per hour based on industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, encouraging their cognitive and motor skill development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, establishing a soothing and comforting environment.
  • Supervise and care for children during playtime, outdoor activities, and educational sessions.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing empathy and support when needed.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Work Setting

This is a live-in position, where the Childcare Coordinator will reside with the family. However, it's essential to note that this is not a condition of employment, and you can choose to commute if preferred.

Target Audience

The primary focus of this role is caring for children, so strong interpersonal skills and a patient demeanor are vital.
