Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a key member of our farm operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth harvesting and processing of our crops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and quality.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots for efficient processing.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to optimize yields and quality.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track farm operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Examine product for quality and readiness for market to ensure high standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Experience in farm work, preferably in vegetable harvesting and processing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
