Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to farming and crop care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots to ensure quality control.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track and record farm activities.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Experience in farming or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to dust, odours, and other environmental factors.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

40 to 60 hours per week, with flexibility to work variable shifts.
