Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Akhlut Automotive. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Credentials:
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a dusty and noisy environment.

Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the automotive service industry
  • College/CEGEP education
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots
