Inventory Coordinator

The Stores Clerk is responsible for the organization, coordination, and control of inventories and supplies in support of healthcare services throughout Western Nova Scotia. This role assists in the distribution of supplies to other sites in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the organization, coordination, and control of inventories and supplies
- Distribute supplies to other sites in Western Nova Scotia
- Ensure the principles and practices that guide our work are integrated within the services provided
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education programs
- Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, priority setting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as leadership skills
- Working knowledge of the SAP computer system is preferred
- Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control preferred
- Demonstrated working knowledge of and current relevant experience with computer
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of Materials Management Service in the delivery of patient care and understanding of how errors may affect medical treatment and cause financial loss
- The ability to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities within Eastern Zone for Supply Chain related responsibilities
- Travel to other sites required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
What We Offer
- Long assignment, Full-time position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
- Approximately 12 months
- $21.91 - $24.17 Hourly
- Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan
