Job Title: Computer-Aided Design Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Computer-Aided Design Technician to join our team at ONTARIO INC. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and supervising other drafting personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy
- Supervise and train new drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work
- Develop and prepare design sketches and construction specifications
- Estimate costs and materials, and prepare contracts and tenders
- Write technical reports and specifications, and examine drawings for conformity and errors
- Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
Requirements:
- College diploma or certificate in a related field
- AutoCAD Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized and team player with ability to work under pressure
