Job Overview

Pomeroy Lodging LP is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our Nordic Spa facilities at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

About the Role

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including MEP systems, groundskeeping, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Your expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our spa experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance programs, conducting regular mechanical inspections.
  • Advise the General Manager on future equipment planning, status of preventive maintenance programs, and facility contracts.
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness, function, and safety of the pool, water chemistry, and all pool filters and related equipment.
  • Ensure that pool equipment and practices adhere to safety and health regulations, including conducting safety inspections and recommendations for safety enhancements.
  • Manage expenses within budgeted parameters and create schedules that meet peak demand periods while delivering budgeted labour costs.
  • Support recruitment and maintain a work environment that attracts and retains quality employees.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary certifications/diploma or degree
  • Minimum of 2 years facilities leadership experience
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
  • Comfortable with technology and open to new learning
  • Safety certifications an asset
  • Experience with commercial pool operation preferred

Working Conditions

This position may be exposed to long shifts, including late hours, weekends, and holidays. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders.
