Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Peaceland Oilfield Services Ltd. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  2. Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including corporate and personal tax returns.
  4. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  2. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
  3. Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Windows, and Sage Accounting Software.
  4. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with scanners.
  5. Area of Specialization: Accounting.
  6. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  7. Own Tools/Equipment: Computer, internet access, office equipment and supplies, and printer.
  8. Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, and adaptability.
