Accounting Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting technician to join our team at Peaceland Oilfield Services Ltd. As an accounting technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to financial data management, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Data Management: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
- Bookkeeping and Accounting: Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports, and prepare tax returns.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Windows, and Sage Accounting Software. Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
