Job Title: Hotel Operations Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Hotel Operations Assistant to join our team at North Vancouver Hotel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of our hotel, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Recruit and hire staff, ensuring a diverse and skilled team
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Conduct performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and development
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
  • Conduct training sessions, equipping staff with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
  • Prepare marketing plans, promoting our hotel and services to attract new guests
  • Implement marketing activities, leveraging social media and other channels to engage with our audience
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring our hotel remains clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Enforce policies and procedures, maintaining a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring efficient use of staff time and resources
  • Develop promotional materials, showcasing our hotel's unique features and services

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel operations or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and suppliers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation, with access to public transportation
