About the Laboratory Analyst Role
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our Asbestos Laboratory Group in Mississauga. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality lab analysis to support our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content using Polarized Light Microscopy
- Enter data and prepare detailed reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor of science degree in geology, biology, or microbiology, or a college diploma in a science field
- Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
- Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible color
- Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
