About the Role

The Pembina Institute is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Strategic Partnerships team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our organization's financial growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Strategic Partnerships team's mission and vision at internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Mentor and support internal policy teams in engagement and narrative-framing methods with current and prospective funders.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance on the production of high-quality deliverables and resources to internal teams.
  • Support strategy development and tactical implementation of Strategic Partnerships goals and objectives.
  • Participate in strategic planning and coordination meetings with internal stakeholders and provide input to enhance the effectiveness of Strategic Partnerships work.
  • Contribute to the identification, research, development, and growth of various funding sources and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to develop and execute annual fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
  • A university undergraduate degree or higher in business management, social science, humanities, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a fund development or sales professional, preferably in the charitable and non-profit sector with an NGO.
  • Experience developing budgets and interpreting financial information.
  • Proficiency with various software tools for data management and communication, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A commitment to sustainability and social change, with an understanding of climate and energy policy challenges.
What We Offer

The Pembina Institute offers a competitive compensation package, including a hiring range of $75,748 to $91,949 annually, based on a 37.5-hour work week. We also offer a flexible office and home schedule, generous paid time-off package, RRSP matching, parenthood top-ups, extended health and dental benefits, and yearly development funds.
