About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser to join our team at SUNFOOD MARKET INC. as a Product Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing merchandise for resale, ensuring that our stores are stocked with the right products to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Acquisition: Identify and select merchandise for resale, including negotiating prices and terms with suppliers.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are rotated regularly.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to product availability or quality.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for product acquisition, ensuring that our stores remain competitive.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our buying team to identify product opportunities and develop strategies for product acquisition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
