As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations in all Food and Beverage outlets, providing outstanding personalized food and beverage experiences to all Aquarium visitors and internal guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for every visitor, guest and team member
  2. Ensure all team members have the necessary resources for operational success
  3. Communicate with team to ensure they are provided with any updates or changes to menus, policy, Aquarium news etc.
  4. Be the champion of all standards set out by the Aquarium
  5. Assist with and answer general visitor questions of programs, events, orientation and any other Vancouver Aquarium related inquiries.
  6. Confidently discuss all our food and beverage offerings and assist with any dietary restrictions
  7. Maintain a consistent positive demeanor in all circumstances
  8. Ensure all visitor and guest feedback is promptly addressed and rectified
  9. Adept the motto 'if it is not right, we will make it right'
  10. Anticipate visitor and guest needs
  11. Oversee the daily operation within the Food and Beverage outlets
  12. Ensure all products delivered to visitors and guests are of exceptional quality
  13. Assist with staff training and development
  14. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to the team
  15. Delegate and assign tasks as necessary
  16. Assist in daily financial reporting and communication
  17. Review daily schedule and role assignments – adjust as needed
  18. Ensure all outlets have the required resources for operational success
  19. Champion of all health and safety protocol
  20. Ensure all visitor and guest requests are fulfilled and accurate prior to delivery
  21. Ensure all satellite stations are clean and fully stocked
  22. Make certain the cafes and surrounding areas are clean and organized
  23. Ensure proper rotation of all food and beverage items
  24. Serving It Right certification is required
  25. Food Safe certified is preferred
  26. Clear background check is required
  27. Food services experience in a high volume fast paced environment is an asset
  28. Previous customer service experience is preferred
  29. Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  30. Possess strong leadership and people supervision skills
  31. Must be a motivated self-starter
  32. Take initiative and see tasks through to completion
  33. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize
  34. Excellent customer service and communication skills
  35. Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  36. Be an organized leader and lead by example
  37. Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  38. Ability to safely lift, move and carry a variety of objects up to 30 lbs
  39. Must be available during the week, including weekends and holidays

Hourly Wage: $20.00
