Mental Health Nurse

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) to join our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide comprehensive treatment services, including mental health assessments, care planning, and medication management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote client-centered care and address the unique needs of each client.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use issues, as well as coping strategies and self-care techniques.
- Work collaboratively with community agencies and residential facilities to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in case conferences and meetings to discuss client progress, identify areas for improvement, and coordinate care.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent, related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders in a community or acute setting.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
