Job Title: Food Processing Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Processing Labourer to join our team at Nation Wide Canning Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks on the production line, including food safety and handling, measuring and dumping ingredients, and cleaning machines and work areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure food safety and handling practices are followed at all times
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement (as required)
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Own transportation (public transportation not available)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a food and beverage plant environment, exposed to odours, heat, and wet/damp conditions.
