Job Description

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Automation Testing SDET to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily standup meetings and sprint planning to ensure test execution aligns with project goals
  • Develop and execute test strategies, including test device matrices and review with the program team
  • Validate client-side and server-side error messages, requests, and responses using Charles Proxy
  • Execute test scenarios, scripts, or procedures to ensure high-quality mobile app delivery
  • Conduct exploratory testing, backward compatibility testing, and API endpoint validation using Dynatrace
  • Develop testing programs to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
  • Document software defects and report them to software developers using a bug tracking system
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on testing experience with both native iOS and Android mobile apps
  • 4+ years of front-end UI experience with digital trading platform testing
  • Experience in Wealth Management Domain, specifically in Trading
  • Experience with order management and trading applications in the equity brokerage space

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • 2-3 years of automation testing experience
  • Native accessibility testing using JAWS Screen Reader and Screen Magnifying tools
  • Experience testing on web apps
  • Recent relevant Banking Industry Experience
  • French testing experience

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage tasks and expectations without direct instruction
  • Fast learner who can hit the ground running
  • Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating professionalism

Education:

  • Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science or related field
  • ISTQB certification an asset
