Software Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Stackitrecruitment. As a key member of our agile Scrum team, you will be responsible for developing robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions to ensure the reliability of our clients' internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks, processes, and tools
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership in automation testing design and test architecture
  • Identify opportunities to coach and mentor junior Test Engineers
  • Conduct code reviews, including automation scripts and application code, ensuring quality standards
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation systems and tools to support the efforts of test engineers
  • Execute automated test cases, scripts, and scenarios to ensure software functionality and reliability
  • Help assess product quality and readiness for release
  • Oversee the creation and execution of automated test suites
  • Analyze and troubleshoot test automation failures to determine root causes
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, software testing principles, and quality assurance processes
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing robust, reusable automation test frameworks and infrastructure from scratch
  • Proficient in C#, Java, or JavaScript and experienced with Selenium WebDriver for automation testing
  • Extensive experience with source control tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Proficient in SQL with a solid understanding of relational database systems
  • Extensive experience with API/service testing tools such as SoapUI and Postman
