Kitchen Supervisor and Culinary Trainer

Wild Wing (237 Queen) is seeking a highly skilled Kitchen Supervisor and Culinary Trainer to join our team.
About the JobThis is a permanent, full-time opportunity with 30 hours of work per week.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced chef who can effectively supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, analyzing operating costs and other data, demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff, and consulting with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
In this role, you will also plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- a strong background in culinary arts with at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience;
- excellent leadership and communication skills;
- ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy and attention to detail;
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically;
- physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$40 per hour based on experience and qualifications, plus opportunities for professional growth and development.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $52,000 and $83,200 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
