Job Overview

Aecon is a leading construction company that delivers innovative infrastructure solutions. We're seeking a highly skilled Modeling Specialist to join our integrated digital delivery team in our Toronto office.

  • Utilize automated design software and engineering knowledge to create 3D models based on specifications documents and project plans.
  • Set up 3D models in digital delivery environments, apply layers and styles, and purge models for coordinator handover.
  • Develop dynamic blocks and attributes using provided scripts and perform quantity estimates using cloud-based tools.
  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet project expectations and assist in producing 2D sheets from 3D models.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a graduate degree in civil engineering, BIM, drafting, or related field with relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD, design development, construction documents, and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and Dynamo with experience in Bentley design software.
  • Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D BIM drawings and models.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated experience using Bentley design software for model-based digital delivery.
  • Intermediate or advanced qualification in the Autodesk AEC collection suite.
  • Knowledge and experience in Autodesk Construction Cloud.
