About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Maintenance Lead Hand to join our Mobile Maintenance team at the Detour Lake Mine site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to our maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory procedures, and leading a team of maintenance professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and provide expertise for all mechanical and electrical activities related to mining and mobile equipment maintenance;
  • Lead and coach team members in the achievement of maintenance safety and productivity targets;
  • Develop and implement standards and procedures that meet all statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance operating cost forecasts, budgets, and monthly maintenance reports;
  • Schedule and plan electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximize equipment availability and efficiency;
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in maintenance, preferably with experience in open pit mining equipment;
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • A strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair;
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues;
