Job Title: Dietitian II, Nutrition

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian II, Nutrition to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition care to critically ill or injured children and youth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments of patients, utilizing evidence-based standards and guidelines to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide education and support on nutrition-related topics, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric nutrition, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited dietetics program, with a strong foundation in pediatric nutrition and clinical practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pediatric nutrition, with a focus on critical care and nutrition support.
  • Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
