Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Monte Carlo Restaurant. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, initiative, organization, and reliability in your work.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
