Custodian Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at MONTE CARLO RESTAURANT. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Personal Qualities:
  • Dependability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Initiative: Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Reliability: Meet deadlines and commitments.
Experience and Training:
  • Experience: An asset, but not required.
  • Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, and awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.

Working Conditions: Permanent position, 35 to 40 hours per week, with a welcoming work environment.
