Industrial Automation Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team at Integrated Personnel Services Limited.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with mechanical designers to design and develop control systems that ensure machine safety and reliability.
- Develop comprehensive electrical design packages, including schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with the Controls Engineering Department and other teams to enhance safety, functionality, and reduce costs.
- Specify and procure electrical and controls-related hardware and software.
- Integrate third-party equipment and electronic components into electrical design packages.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of electrical design packages before issuing them to the shop floor.
- Provide training to customers on electrical hardware, machine operation, programming principles, and program functionality.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary technology diploma or engineering degree in electronics, electrical, or controls technology.
- Three years of experience in electrical control systems design, preferably in industrial automation.
- Excellent knowledge of E-Plan or AutoCAD electrical and the ability to stay up-to-date with leading-edge technology.
