About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide financial planning support to a dedicated Wealth Advisor team, preparing and delivering personal financial plans to clients. You will work closely with advisors to uncover client goals and objectives, prepare and present plans, and implement recommendations.

In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing professional practice by participating in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls, collaborating with local Senior Total Wealth Planners and Associates. You will also provide general support to Wealth Advisors and teams, keeping them updated on financial planning trends and strategic recommendations that may benefit their clients.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all financial plans are accurate and adhere to the Financial Planning Defaults & Standards guided by FP Canada. You will recommend reasonable client-focused strategies while maintaining awareness of the latest legislative and financial industry policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the financial planning needs of assigned clients through deep discovery, plan preparation, and presentation delivery.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional practice through participation in Total Wealth Planning calls and collaboration with senior planners and associates.
  • Provide updates on financial planning trends and strategic recommendations to wealth advisors and teams.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest legislative and financial industry policies affecting financial planning techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have completed education requirements towards the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF) designation. You should also have in-depth understanding of the comprehensive financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel, is essential. Advanced understanding of financial planning software and experience in Total Wealth Planning engagements from client discovery to plan presentation delivery are highly valued.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
