Estimated Salary: $67,000 - $85,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill this critical role. The successful candidate will possess a university degree in a relevant discipline or technical program, ideally related to pathology, and at least four years of related experience.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement new specialized techniques, test procedures, and standards under general supervision of professional staff.
  • Assist in diagnosing causes of system, equipment, or material failure using advanced testing methods and equipment.
  • Perform background research and literature searches as needed, evaluating results and formulating recommendations.
  • Provide information and options for product or process modification to improve system performance or to better meet customer and other users' needs.
  • Research, design, and analyze the results of new experiments, selecting and using appropriate procedures, equipment, and standards to produce required data.
  • Set up, test, and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Assist in managing the daily operations and finances of a laboratory or technical operation, including responsibility for budget, large purchase recommendations, inventory, forecasting, and maintenance of financial reports.

What You Will Bring:

  • A university degree in a relevant discipline or technical program, ideally related to pathology, and at least four years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of histology techniques, including sectioning, staining, and immunohistochemistry, is an asset.
  • A graduate degree in a health sciences-related field is an asset.
