Process Operator Trainee

As a Process Operator Trainee, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our production units. You will monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for the safe and efficient operation of the production units
  • Monitoring and operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
  • Obtaining steam time working closely under the Shift Engineer or Shift Supervisor
  • Performing duties in a safe manner with a consistent awareness for the well-being of all employees
  • Working in a team environment, exhibiting strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and having sound written and verbal communications skills
  • Being able to work rotating shift schedules (days and nights) of 12 hours per shift

Requirements include:

  • Minimum completion of English 30, Math 30, Physics 30
  • Chemistry 30 will be considered an asset
  • Application to post-secondary study in Power Engineering Technology program
  • Available to begin Power Engineering Technology program 2024/2025
  • Previous related work experience in an industrial/mechanical setting is preferred
