As a Process Operator Trainee, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our production units. You will be responsible for monitoring and operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits. You will also work closely with our Shift Engineer or Shift Supervisor to obtain steam time and perform duties in a safe manner with a consistent awareness for the well-being of all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the safe and efficient operation of the production units
  • Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
  • Obtain steam time working closely under the Shift Engineer or Shift Supervisor
  • Perform duties in a safe manner with a consistent awareness for the well-being of all employees
  • Work in a team environment, exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and have sound written and verbal communications skills
  • Be able to work rotating shift schedule (days and nights) of 12 hours per shift

Requirements:

  • Minimum completion of English 30, Math 30, Physics 30
  • Chemistry 30 will be considered an asset
  • Application to post-secondary study in Power Engineering Technology program
  • Available to begin Power Engineering Technology program 2024/2025
  • Previous related work experience in an industrial/mechanical setting is preferred
