We are seeking a skilled Community Services Coordinator to join our team in the Shelter, Support & Housing Administration Division. As a Community Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting families and individuals experiencing homelessness by providing direct support, facilitating workshops, and promoting program participation.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct support to children, youth, and adults in a recreational, educational, or residential setting.
  • Facilitate workshops, programs, and activities that promote learning experiences, health and wellbeing, and social skills development.
  • Monitor activities for safety and ensure the health and wellbeing of all participants.
  • Assist with constructing new workshops and materials, reviewing existing resources, and implementing evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., social work, education, child and youth care).
  • Experience delivering direct support to children, youth, and adults in a recreational, educational, or residential setting.
  • Ability to work as a team player and follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of relevant legislation and policies (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act, Child Care and Early Years Act).
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office required.
