">The Poverty Prevention Coordinator will play a key role in addressing poverty and financial barriers in the Toronto community. Key responsibilities include providing income support case work and financial problem solving to clients, developing and implementing service plans, and undertaking financial benefits eligibility assessments.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Use a client-centered approach to address presenting financial concerns
- Develop and implement service plans with clients based on their goals
- Undertake financial benefits eligibility assessments with clients
- Help clients apply for government benefits and income support
- Problem solve/advocate for clients who have been denied government support
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- A Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
- Registered Social Worker (RSW) designation in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- 2+ years of case management experience
- 2+ years of experience working or volunteering in a community-based setting or the not-for-profit sector
