Job Title: Superintendent, Civil

About the Role:

Dawson Civil is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent of Civil to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our projects, from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pipe foremen and crews to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
  • Oversee the performance of sub-contractors and ensure that work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure that all employees have the necessary information.
  • Recommend ways to improve production, quality, and crew performance.
  • Ensure that construction meets approved design specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the civil construction, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Clean Drivers Abstract is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Experience with Heavy Job an asset.
