Job Summary

As a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety in the meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure freshness and quality
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer expectations
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Taking orders for Deli Department merchandise and preparing sliced meats, cheeses, and other products
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.85. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
