Job Title: Senior Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality applications that are highly scalable and extensible. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to estimate, task, and prototype, and contribute clear and maintainable code to a shared codebase.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex applications using Java, Spring, and JavaScript
  • Estimate, task, and prototype with cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to a shared codebase with clear and maintainable code
  • Collaborate with teams to investigate, learn, and apply new technologies and processes
  • Clarify requirements with team and client representatives
Requirements:
  • Proven experience designing and developing complex applications
  • Fluent in Java
  • Significant cloud platform experience, preferably with AWS or Azure
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of computer science algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  • Experience designing distributed systems at scale handling large data sets
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform
Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to Agile approaches to software development
  • Fluent and current in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Relational and/or NoSQL databases, SQL queries, and object relational mapping tools
  • Distributed computing and platform as a service
  • UNIX, Linux, and W3C technologies including XML
  • Automated build, test, and deployment tools
