The Opportunity
Mawer Investment Management is seeking a skilled Receptionist to play a pivotal role in our downtown office. As the first point of contact for visitors, this individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- General reception duties, including answering phones, checking for faxes, and greeting employees and visitors.
- Enter and track building maintenance requests.
- Ensure all floor plans are up-to-date.
- Assist with booking meeting rooms and coordinating board meetings.
- Manage access cards for employees and visitors, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensure the reception manual is up-to-date and other employees providing coverage are trained.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support various departments.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of reception experience in an office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Proven ability to perform administrative duties with professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proven time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Service-focused with an approachable disposition.
- Calm and positive attitude under pressure.
- Demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Team player who will step in to help wherever needed.
- Superior respect of confidentiality and confidential matters.
- Ability to have some flexibility with work schedule when required.
