Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing nursing care to patients in a variety of settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery, including coordinating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of care plans and progress.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • One (1) year of recent, related acute care or residential experience.
