We offer a full-time opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Richmond, BC. As part of the team, you will work on an award-winning digital platform, collaborating across software development stages and contributing to various projects. Your expertise in .NET will enhance our current and future projects.
This is a great opportunity for a developer with 5+ years of experience working with .NET applications as part of a professional team. Essential skills include solid experience with C# and SQL.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop key software components and services for PressReader applications.
- Deliver high-quality code while adhering to best practices and employing test-driven development methodologies.
- Estimate project efforts and timelines for delivery.
- Conduct peer design and code reviews.
- Identify potential project risks and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with teammates and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Create technical documentation outlining software designs and solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers on the team.
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in developing .NET applications.
- Proficiency in crafting reliable software systems.
- Mastery in building backend services using C# and SQL.
- Experience in constructing micro-services utilizing Docker/Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in refactoring complex code to enhance testability and maintainability.
- Knowledge or experience in agile/iterative development methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
