About the RoleJob Summary:The Clinical Nursing Professional Leader provides leadership, education, and clinical expertise in the support, orientation, and competency-based skills development of hospital staff. This position works collaboratively with the inter-professional program team to implement evidence-based practices and achieve program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Education: Develops, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational programs for staff, including planning appropriate program delivery.
- Clinical Pathways and Patient Care Guidelines: Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical pathways and patient care guidelines related to episodes of care within the clinical area.
- Staff Learning Needs Assessment: Assesses learning needs of staff and supports them to meet learning goals.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Develops, implements, and evaluates evidence-based practice activities and educational information for clinical staff.
- Nursing and Healthcare Trends: Monitors nursing and healthcare trends/issues and collaborates to integrate relevant information into education activities and responsibilities.
- Clinical Practice Changes: Plans, implements, and evaluates evidence-based outcome-oriented changes in clinical practices and care delivery processes.
- Registration and Certification: Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario; Canadian Nurses Association certification (CNA) in a related field or willingness to pursue within one year of hire date.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Experience: Successful completion of Critical Care certificate required followed by 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience within a Cardiovascular intensive care unit in a Regional Cardiac program.
- Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required; Best Practice Spotlight Organization Champion designation or willingness to pursue within one month of hire date required.
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and a rewarding work environment.
Location:This role is based in Newmarket, Ontario, within the Greater Toronto Area.
