We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at 100 Mile District General Hospital. As a member of our Medical Device Reprocessing Team, you will be responsible for performing a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing, and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Perform decontamination, sterilization, and reassembly of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments
- Conduct function testing and quality control checks on medical devices
- Prepare and distribute medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments to various areas of the hospital
- Maintain accurate records and reports of medical device reprocessing activities
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical devices and supplies
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical device reprocessing or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
