Role Overview:

RideCo is revolutionizing the transportation industry with its dynamic on-demand network, and we're seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our agile team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will design, build, and manage our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS, EC2, ECS, and RDS.
  • Lead architectural changes to improve performance, uptime, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure seamless operations.
  • Build and introduce tools to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Architect highly available real-time distributed applications using stateful and stateless services.
  • Work with diverse stacks, including Linux, Python, and container orchestration.
  • Improve auto-scaling and self-healing capabilities to maximize cloud resource utilization.
  • Plan and execute OS and application upgrades in the cloud.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development environments.
  • Experience with system administration (Linux), CI/CD, and automation (IaC, Terraform).
  • Strong scripting skills and experience building diverse, robust tooling (Python, Shell).
  • Cloud expertise (AWS, EC2, ECS, RDS) and experience with monitoring and alerting applications (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong predilection for automation and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python programming language and web application development (Django, Flask, Gunicorn).
  • Experience with web server deployments and performance tuning (nginx).
  • Proficiency with container-based build infrastructures (Docker, pipelines).
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and high availability caching (Redis, nginx proxy).
  • Experience with highly available distributed task queues (RabbitMQ).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000 + performance-based bonus + stock options.
